A walk through

Your whole diving life, in one place.

01Feed

Everything at a glance.

Dives, countries, deepest dive, bottom time. Your last dive with its photo, and what the community is doing right now — the moment you open the app.

02Dives

Your logbook, searchable.

Every dive numbered, with site, country, date, depth, time and water temperature. Twenty years in a list you scroll instead of leaf through.

03Atlas

Where you were. Where you're going.

Every site on the world map, with the community's sightings and destinations alongside. Teal for dived, violet for the bucket list — and it works with no signal.

04Stats

Learn from every dive.

Personal records, dives per year, air consumption, deepest and longest dive. Not louder numbers — the patterns that actually make you better.

05Certs

Your cards, always with you.

PADI, SSI, TDI, IANTD and more — agency-neutral in one wallet. A swipe to show at the dive centre, offline and encrypted.

06Health

Dive medical, check and emergency.

The dive medical certificate with a reminder before it expires, the short self-check before a dive, insurance and emergency details. All offline on the device.

01AI Import

Bring your old logbook
with you.

Twenty years of handwritten entries, a stack of agency log sheets, a messy spreadsheet — point the camera, and Ocean Pulse reads them.

Our import engine turns photographs of paper logbooks into structured digital dives. Hand-written site names, scribbled depths, coffee-stained dates. The history you already have, without a single evening of typing. Every dive you've ever made, finally in one place.

02Statistics

Your diving life, decoded.

Ocean Pulse surfaces the insights that make you better — patterns, trends and the small cues you'd otherwise miss.

Dives, countries, deepest point, total bottom time. Personal records, dives per year, and conditions broken down by visibility, current, water type and entry method. The numbers you would never keep by hand.

Conditions and gear: water temperature bands, dive types, wetsuits and tank volumes
Dives per month as a bar chart, then dives by country and region
03Wallet

All your cards —
reimagined.

Scan, import or build your own. Every card unique: agency, motif, accent colour — your call.

PADI, SSI, TDI, IANTD and more. Recreational, Specialty, Professional, Technical, Freediver. One tap to scan, one swipe to show. Offline, encrypted, always with you.

A certification card up close: certificate number, instructor, date and dive centre
04Health

Dive healthy.
By design.

Three tools that know when you're ready.

An honest self-check before every dive. Every dive-medical certificate safely stored — with a reminder before it expires. Emergency contacts and hyperbaric chambers worldwide, always offline. Three layers of safety, quiet in the background — loud only when it matters.

Emergency: the DAN hotline numbers to call, and the nearest decompression chambers with distances
05Achievements

From Seahorse
to Leviathan.

Ten levels. Thirty-five badges. A quiet game mechanic that rewards what matters — depth, consistency, variety, responsibility.

Every dive counts. New sites, colder temperatures, new species, longer bottom times — Ocean Pulse quietly watches what you reach, and unlocks recognition. No pop-ups, no points to buy. Just an honest record of your journey beneath the surface.

06The Logbook

Every dive, remembered.

A logbook that respects the craft. Cloud-synced, offline-ready, designed to be used on a boat — not a desk.

Depth, duration, temperature. Visibility, current, weight. Suit, buoyancy, air consumption. Buddy, site, wrecks, caves, sightings. Every dive captured the moment you surface. Statistics that make you a better diver — not louder metrics, but the patterns that actually matter: trends in your consumption, your preferred depth range, the species you keep meeting, the sites that keep calling you back. Thirty-nine data points per dive in total — from reef to wreck.

A single dive at Los Islotes, Mexico: date, entry time, max depth 17.2 m, 52 minutes, water and air temperature
07Atlas

See where you've been. Save where you're going.

From the idea of a trip to the moment you roll off the boat — Ocean Pulse helps plan both the dives and the journey around them.

Chain sites by distance. Check seasonal conditions. Pack with an equipment list that knows what you've logged. A curated atlas of reefs, wrecks and walls — sourced from OpenStreetMap, Wikidata and GBIF, refined by every dive the crew logs. Next stop: your choice.

The bucket list: SS Thistlegorm, Mossel Bay and Galapagos, saved for later
08Insights & community

More than a logbook.

Personal insights, ocean knowledge and a community that dives with you. Milestones, air-consumption trends, monthly polls and facts worth knowing.

43 hours underwater. Average SAC 14.2 l/min. 68% logged a buddy on their last dive. Ocean Pulse notices the milestones you would otherwise scroll past, and puts them next to what the rest of the crew is doing.

Insights: streaks, hours underwater, your longest dive and a safety tip
09Dive readiness

Your dive starts before the water.

Eleven quick questions across three thoughtful steps — how you feel, your health, your readiness. Honest answers, a clear picture.

A quick self-check before you dive. Sleep, stress, symptoms, medication — three screens, honest answers, a clear recommendation. Not an algorithm that clears you. A mirror that reminds you to be honest with yourself.

For personal reflection only, and deliberately not a medical assessment. Fitness to dive is decided by a dive physician, never by an app.

10Dive computers

Your dive history comes with you.

Import existing logs as UDDF, SML, XML or CSV — from Suunto, Shearwater, Garmin, Mares, Scubapro and Subsurface. Pick exactly which dives come across.

No starting from scratch, and no lock-in either: what you import you can export again as a formatted PDF.

11Dive modes

Built for the way you dive.

Scuba, freediving or technical — the right details for every dive mode, instead of one form for everything.

Ocean Pulse speaks your language.

The Ocean Pulse Network

The depth the data is missing from.

Five to forty metres — the depth divers are in regularly, and the one research has the least data from. Coral colour, fish abundance, temperature at depth: what you see on every dive anyway.

Voluntary, no name attached, revocable at any time — and it gates no feature, neither on the free tier nor with Pro. Until a research partner is named, everything stays with you: the consent has to exist before the first transfer, not after. Programmes like CoralWatch at the University of Queensland have been collecting exactly these diver assessments for over twenty years. That is where these observations belong, and that is the connection we are working towards. The moment it changes, you read it here.

Data for science: the 5–40 m band divers are in and satellites miss, and why it matters
Coral health — from healthy to dead in five stages.
Fish abundance — single, few, many, abundant.
Issues spotted — trash, coral damage, ghost nets.
Sightings & Tags — from shark to wreck, in one tap.
Saving the ocean and its ecosystem starts with you.

Your data matters to us.

No ads, no trackers, nothing sold. What you log stays yours — and until a research partner is named, no observation leaves the app.

Trust

Your dives are yours.

Three things worth being precise about — because a dive log holds your health, your travel and your habits.

Privacy

No ads, no trackers, nothing sold. Your data is encrypted on device and in the cloud, and what you log stays yours.

  • No advertising, no third-party tracking
  • Encrypted on device and in sync
  • Export or delete everything, any time

AI, only where it earns it

The scanner reads photos of paper logbooks and certification cards to fill in fields for you. It is a typing shortcut, not a decision-maker — every value stays editable before you save.

  • Used for import and card scanning only
  • You review and correct every field
  • Never used to profile you or to train on your dives

Health data, handled carefully

Dive Readiness is a structured self-check, not a fitness-to-dive assessment. Medical certificates, insurance and emergency details are stored for you to show — never scored, never shared.

  • For personal reflection — not a medical assessment
  • Certificates and contacts stored offline
  • Nothing leaves the app without you asking
